Unique Sports Group (USG) can announce the launch of a charity shirt auction in partnership with the Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC), to raise funds for those affected by the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria in February.
Having seen the hardship endured by the victims and their loved ones, USG decided to take swift action and have received over 30 donated shirts from our clients.
Those who donated shirts include the likes of Aaron Wan-Bissaka (Manchester United), Dayot Upamecano (Bayern Munich), Hakan Çalhanoğlu (Inter Milan) and Hirving Lozano (Napoli).
All funds raised will be donated directly to the DEC’s Turkey-Syria Earthquake appeal and will be put towards providing medical care, emergency shelter, winter kits, food, clean water, sanitation and hygiene kits in both Turkey and Syria.
Facilitated by CharityStars, the auction page is now live until 9am on Wednesday 3rd May and can be found here: www.charitystars.com/USG
On the launch of the auction, USG’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer Will Salthouse said:
“Like many of us, I was horrified by the devastating aftermath of the earthquake that affected the people of Syria and Turkey.
“Being a father myself, to see how families have been torn apart is not something I could just watch and do nothing about. That’s why as a company we have all pulled together to do something and raise as much money as possible to try to help those in need.”
Disaster Emergency Committee Chief Executive Saleh Saeed also added: “We’re pleased our DEC Turkey-Syria Earthquake appeal will benefit from Unique Sports Group Charity Auction. The devastating earthquakes have caused the loss of thousands of lives and reduced buildings to rubble. People are still in need of aid to survive and we’re thankful to everyone for supporting the Unique Sports Group Charity Auction. Funds raised from the auction will make a real difference to those in need of our support.”
